The Volvo XC70 is the mid-sized offering of Volvo’s three available crossover SUVs, and comes in 7 pre-package models. The models are split into 2 groups: 4 variations of a 3.2 litre, all-wheel-drive, 6-cylinder engine (3.2 AWD, 3.2 AWD Premier, 3.2 AWD Premier Plus, 3.2 AWD Platinum); and 3 variations of a 3.0 litre, all-wheel-drive, 6-cylinder engine (T6 AWD, T6 AWD Premier Plus, and T6 AWD Platinum). Differences between models in each group are found in the equipment and accessories that are added to them, based on a sliding scale, with more standard features included with Premier Plus and Platinum than Premier models (e.g. the 3.2 Premier Plus comes with standard Keyless Drive and Personal Car Communication, whereas the 3.2 and 3.2 Premier do not). The base 3.2 litre, 240 horsepower (hp) engine is controlled by a 6-speed automatic transmission and capable of producing 236 pound-feet (lb.-ft.) of torque; and the upgraded 3.0 litre, 300 horsepower (hp) is controlled by a 6-speed automatic transmission and capable of producing 325 pound-feet (lb.-ft.) of torque. The 3.2 litre models can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 9 seconds, while the 3.0 litre models can do so in 7.4 seconds. All models use a 6-speed automatic transmission. Feature highlights include front and rear park assist, active bending lights for illumination around bends, and Adaptive Cruise Control that automatically maintains your set speed and distance to the vehicle ahead of you.
